Helldivers 2 is known for being a satire about the dangers of extreme nationalism and corrupt government bodies. The dialogue in such a game will likely involve characters so serious about their nationalistic ideals that it borders on coming off as a joke or sarcasm. This is one of the reasons why a popular Baldur's Gate 3 voice actor wants to provide Helldivers 2 with his talent, and why Arrowhead Game Studios should consider allowing him to do so.

If there is any person whose voice acting style would be a good fit for Helldivers 2, it would be Neil Newbon. He is best known for voicing characters such as Resident Evil: Village's Karl Heisenberg and the ever-popular Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3. Neil's portfolio of works shows he would shine in a role that requires him to sound sarcastic, flippant, or even obnoxious, making Helldivers 2 a perfect place to showcase his talent. The professional voice actor has already expressed his desire to lend his talent to the game, stating that he would be willing to scream for an hour or use his Astarion voice to dramatic effect for the sake of the opportunity. Should Arrrowhead Game Studios let it happen, it could produce some interesting and enjoyable results.

After providing some of the best voice-acting performances in the popular Baldur's Gate 3, Neil Newbon has shown that he is an individual that a game can greatly benefit from if he's given the right role to play. Helldivers 2 could certainly be such a title, and Arrowhead Game Studios must strongly consider the decision to hire his talents. Allowing it to happen can lead to positive results such as:
- Helldivers 2 could gain more publicity, as hiring such a professional to do some voice acting, even for just a few lines or sounds, will turn several heads toward the game's direction
- It can help boost the quality of the in-game dialogue, as his enthusiasm and willingness to be a part of the world of Helldivers 2 means he will be giving it his all in his performance
- If he is relegated to voicing an NPC and if done well, it could allow Arrowhead Game Studios to consider adding more characters with quality voice-acting

Neil Newbon has voiced many characters throughout his career, and his more popular roles, like Astarion and Karl Heisenberg, show that he would make a great fit for the world of Helldivers 2. Should he be allowed the opportunity, then it's likely the game will see even more success than it already has.
How Hiring Neil Newbon Opens up More Opportunities for Helldivers 2
Though not necessarily awful, the quality of the voice acting in the game leaves much to be desired. If there is any way to improve it, then it's by hiring people equally or more talented than Neil Newbon. If Arrowhead Game Studios were to allow him to provide his talent, then it could be the start of Helldivers 2 partnering up with more professionals and having their voices in the game. Worthy candidates would include Yuri Lowenthal, Laura Bailey, and Troy Baker, as they are professional video game voice actors with an impressive range, meaning they'll be able to hammer down whatever tone is necessary for who they're voicing to be emphatic and memorable. It can all start with the hiring of Neil Newbon, and his expressing interest and enthusiasm in wanting to be a part of the Helldivers 2 world show Arrowhead Game Studios can easily let it happen.

Helldivers 2 is biding its time longer than necessary when introducing something that will generate new interest and bring more attention. The hiring of Neil Newbon could be one such thing, especially since the style and quality of his voice acting would fit well within the game. Hopefully, Arrowhead Game Studios decides to do so, as Helldivers 2 can only benefit from it.
